Assemblyman Jose Solorio included the above picture in his latest e-newsletter. I had no idea that he is taller than Supervisor Janet Nguyen! The true irony of this picture is that there is a very good chance that Solorio will be running against Nguyen in four years. Who would you vote for in such a scenario? UPDATE: The Jannies have come out of the closet – she is now winning the poll! And Aloha has more votes than Assemblyman Solorio!

I hope Jose does run against Janet in four years I would eagerly support him over her any day of the week.
Jose has always shown himself to be approachable and open to listening to the concerns of his constituents.
Also I don’t believe that Jose would openly disregard the public’s well being in order to benefit his spouse, his cronies and his donors.
What a crux this would put #1 janny Phil Becrra in eh? Whats A Democratic Operative GOP double agent to do when he has to choose between Democrat Jose Solorio and Republican Janet Nguyen?
Jose is not taller than Janet. She’s sitting down in this picture and he’s standing up.
Ican tell you that a supervisor Soloro would be great for central Orange county. Paul Lucas would definately get out and walk some precnts for him cause Jose would love to appint him to a county commison.
And I agree with the above commnter about poor Democratic Operative Phil Becerra and his so-called friend Mesha Houser. Janet will be toast.
Hey Art, shouldn’t Mark Rosen be labeled as a “former” Councilman. He was termed-out this year.
I wonder if Janets supporters in the Democratic Party are feeling the effects of buyers remorse yet? Everyone gove a big thank you to Phil Becerra and Chris Prevatt for foisting this bondoogle up on us.
Who gives a rats a** who Paul Lucas would support?
P.L.i.a.i. – nicely said. He’s more of a sideshow Bob tragic/comic figure now.
Political reinvention being what it is look for the rebirth of Paul again and again. Generations will awaken to their own Paul Lucas disappointments as he skirts the fringes of insider-outsider status and plays on his limited name recognition in an electorate (and DPOC) hooked on short attention span theater.
Oh and somebody tell me how Paul qualifies as a young democrat anymore? Is it that “kid’s table” thing?
