Congratulations Sheriff Mike!
Amazing course of events…..we are truly shocked and amazed that Sheriff Mike missed the big bat…..as he still looks to fight the Haidl tape conviction! There is little doubt that it will still take years for Sheriff Mike to dig out of the mess created by hanging with the wrong people. God bless and keep you Sheriff Mike…..you treated us right when we knew you and so we wish you every peace and happiness in whatever you decide to do in the future. 10 comments to Congratulations Sheriff Mike!1 2 #1, the post is tongue-in-cheek. This is the same sort of “we still stand by you” sentimentality the Winships expressed toward Donald Rumsfeld after he created the debacle known as the Iraq war. 5 Congratulations??? The turd was was convicted of a felony and faces up to 10 years for just that one count alone!!! Carona is a turd! He dodged a big bullet but that doesn’t make him innocent. It was proven to the public Carona got into office by illegal means and kept going from there. The only reason this jury didn’t convict him on other charges was because of the statue of limitations ran out on most of the illegal acts he committed. 6 David, Would that it were. I guess Carona once replied to an email from the Winships – and they decided he was the cat’s meow. He is however a dog – and now he is a guilty one. Adios Carona – please leave Orange County now…and take your carny wife with you! 7 *Drunken Water Board members, Theives in City Council positions – the list goes on and on. Our 8 I agree with Art. You’ll be begging for tickets to her Charo tribute show at the OC Pavillions when she terms out of public office in three years. 10 Ignoring the issue of criminality and morals (and I acknowledge it is hard to do that in this case), it seems that he has by his choice of top subordinates demonstrated an inability to develop a strong management team capable of leading a very complex organization. That in and of itself is enuf to say that putting him in charge of a large organization was a mistake, and to do so again would most likely be a disaster. He has proven he is an incompetent manager. No, this is a mess he created by choosing to become drunk with power and engaging in conspiracy, mail fraud and witness tampering.
