When Paul Lucas said that Orange County Supervisor Janet Nguyen is the new Van Tran, he wasn’t kidding. Janet’s husband, Tom Bonikowski, was appointed on March 10, to the Garden Grove Planning Commission. I believe he may have been nominated by Janet’s Chief of Staff, Andrew Do, who was elected to the Garden Grove City Council last year.

Bonikowski was in the news recently when Janet was the key vote against proposed County restaurant health ratings. We broke the news that he is part owner of a Lee’s Sandwiches restaurant in Stanton that has received major County health violations. His partner in that venture is none other than Andrew Do.
No wonder Janet worked so hard to get Do elected last year…
