Clerk-Recorder candidate Hugh Nguyen picks up another endorsement

Leading Clerk-Recorder candidate Hugh Nguyen has picked up yet another endorsement, as college board member Don Wagner, who is also running for the State Assembly seat held by Chuck DeVore, has endorsed him. 

Nguyen worked under Clerk-Recorder Gary Granville for 12 years, as his assistant.  After Granville died, Nguyen moved on to serve in his current capacity as Assistant to the Orange County Clerk.  Nguyen has the most experience in the Clerk-Recorder’s office of any of the current candidates, which include a political consultant with zero experience in the Clerk-Recorder’s office, Laura Cunningham.

Santa Ana— Former Chief Deputy Recorder Hugh Nguyen announced today that President of the South Orange County Community College District Board of Trustees Don Wagner has endorsed his campaign for Orange County Clerk Recorder.

“I have been a close personal friend of Hugh for over 15 years and I know first hand that he has the experience, integrity and dedication to be an outstanding Clerk Recorder,” said Wagner. “I am urging all of my friends and associates to vote Hugh Nguyen for Orange County Clerk Recorder.”

 Along with Wagner, Nguyen has been endorsed by Orange County Supervisor Pat Bates, Sheriff Sandra Hutchens, State Senators Mimi Walters, Bob Huff, Dick Ackerman (ret.), Assemblywoman Diane Harkey and numerous local elected officials.
