Loading ...Hugh Nguyen, the leading candidate for Orange County Clerk-Recorder, announced several new endorsements in a press release late yesterday. The endorsements include popular Republican Mike McGill, who is a former Council Member in Cypress and a past candidate for the State Assembly. McGill is also a member of the Republican Party of Orange County’s Central Committee.
Nguyen continues to rack up endorsements even though the race to replace current Clerk-Recorder Tom Daly is getting crowded. We posted yesterday about two new candidates, Daly’s assistant, Renee Ramirez, and political consultant Laura Saucedo Cunningham. The latter is married to Red County Blog editor Matt “Jerbal” Cunningham. Mrs. Cunningham has no experience as a political candidate nor as a Clerk-Recorder. Democratic candidate Art Brown, who is termed out of the Buena Park City Council, is also running.

Santa Ana— Former Chief Deputy Recorder Hugh Nguyen announced today that Santa Ana Councilman Carlos Bustamante, Fullerton Councilman Dick Jones and former Mayor of Cypress Mike McGill have endorsed his campaign for Orange County Clerk Recorder.
