Quang Pham’s Pacific Club fundraiser a huge success

Congressional candidate Quang Pham’s fundraiser this evening at the Pacific Club in Newport Beach was a lot of fun.  The room was packed with Pham’s Marine buddies and a plethora of GOP VIP’s, including several local elected officials.  The guests included:

• Gen. William Lyon, real estate mogul and major GOP donor
• Tom Davin, president and COO of the Panda Restaurant Group
• Rod McDermott, managing director of the McDermott and Bull recruiting firm and a New Majority member
• Robert Mosier, president and CEO of the Mosier & Company crisis management firm
• Marjie Shahani, CEO of QTC Management
• Doug Hamlin, CEO of autoMedia Solutions

Pham is running against horrible Assemblyman Van Tran for the right to take on Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez in the general election.

Pham’s friends from the business world introduced him.  He served in the Marines with a couple of them.  Now they are captains of industry and Pham is their guy.

Pham announced that he has already raised over $100,000 for his campaign.  He raised over $9 million in venture capital for his company.  I suspect he will raise a lot for his campaign as well.
