SAUSD administrators sitting on a $93 million surplus instead of rehiring teachers

The SAUSD administrators are dancing around the fact that they are sitting on a $93 million surplus

The Santa Ana Unified School District is sitting on $93 million dollars – but instead of rehiring laid off teachers they are sitting on their hands…or perhaps they are too busy dancing?

Click here to learn more about the surplus the SAUSD doesn’t want us to know about. Keep in mind that the Obama administration meant for this money to be used to rehire teachers. Instead, the classrooms are crowded, the high school science labs are unsafe, and our students are at risk. Business as usual at the SAUSD…

Can someone tell me how much it cost to put up Electronic Reader boards in from of Elementary schools? I can understand High Schools IF they have extra money but Elementary??? The one up north of 17th (Santiago school?) says, Home of the Turtles all day and all night! I’m not sure how we got by without that message before it was installed! How many schools got these message boards and at what cost???

Good question. It’s worth investigating if the school site council approved the expenditure and where did the monies come from.

Someone needs to really pay attention to the school site councils.

I’m not sure how each school is affording the electronic boards. At our site it has taken two years of fireworks stand proceeds to pay for it, and we’re still waiting for it to be installed. Someone came out two months ago and installed the electrical portion and yet it still hasn’t been installed.
