Tustin’s Lt. Dan Choi, the West Point graduate who was court martialed for openly confronting the ”Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, has returned to active duty.
Dan Choi is a great role model for my kids. Rather than violate his own honor code, “A cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do,” he spoke up for what he believed to be right and accepted the consequences. Now Lt Choi and the thousands of other gays in our military can do what they signed up to do: defend America, defeat Al Qaida, and be treated the same as anyone else who wears a uniform.

Good for Lt Choi. That takes guts. Im happy for him and the countless soldiers who will follow his leadership by example.
