“The Chargers completed one of the greatest comebacks in NFL history Sunday night, defeating Denver 52-21 at Qualcomm Stadium to win the AFC West title,” according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
As incredible as the Chargers comeback was this year, the Raiders also pulled off a stunner today, beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This kept the Bucs out of the playoffs. However, the Raiders’ owner, Al Davis, missed the game due to health reasons. Raiders fans can only hope he is nearing the end.
Our former Anaheim team, the Rams, lost again, to the playoff-bound Atlanta Falcons. Good! I can’t stand those turncoats. Their owner, Georgia Frontiere, died this year and will no doubt be holding the gates to Hell open for Davis.
None of this has much to do with politics, but our blogger Sean Mill is a big Chargers fan. He regularly travels to San Diego to watch their games. So, go Chargers!
Art,
Just got home from the game and let me tell you the Murph aka Qualcom was rocking tonight.
I never gave up hope that the Chargers would make the playoffs even when things were at their bleakest.
While my trip to London for the Chargers/Saints game at Wembley Stadium still remains as the highlight of the season for me, tonight was a close second.
I’ll be there next Saturday to see them host Peyton Manning and the Colts in the opening round of the playoffs. I am hoping for a repeat of last year when I traveled to Indy and watched the Chargers upset the Colts at the RCA Dome in the second round of the playoffs.
Go Bolts!!!
GO CHARGERS!
*God be merciful and saves from the dreaded
Mannings in any form!
