Here is how Santa Ana’s Usual Suspects work. Thomas Gordon called Sean Mill the other day to beg him to write about how Supervisor Janet Nguyen gave almost $200K to Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido, so he could build his own clay tennis courts over at Cabrillo Park. Thomas told Sean that he had been forbidden to write this story over at Red County.
Well, as it turned out I wrote the subsequent post here at the Orange Juice.
Then Thomas allegedly sent my story – and a later story that Sean wrote, to all the Santa Ana Council Members. And he claimed that Sean had attacked Pulido, when in fact I did. Sean took on Janet, not Pulido.
So you see what Thomas was trying to do – he was trying to set Sean up, in his endless quest to get Sean tossed off the Santa Ana Planning Commission, but Sean didn’t take the bait.
So now Thomas is also blogging over at Jannie Central – the new Sunny D blog. Let’s see if he has the balls to take Janet on at his new blog. Somehow I really doubt it. Don’t bother calling Sean with your tips Thomas – he is not falling for your lame traps!
This OJ blog used to be good. If this is what is passing for news lately then I’m done with it.
This sounds like another one of those childish food fights on this blog.
I dunno. If Sean wants to retain his seat, wouldn’t it be wise to err on the side of caution and not write about ANYTHING affecting the city of Santa Ana. He did characterize the city’s acceptance of the funds as a “ridiculous use of taxpayer funds’. I can’t imagine the Mayor would be ecstatic about that turn of phrase.
Additionally, (and I don’t know the answer to this) but isn’t there the potential that the building of said tennis court could end up coming before the planning commission?
I am continually astonished how Santa Ana, California, with one of the most densley populated sq. miles in America elects the amatuerish policians we do.
Any “keeper” quickly rides upstream and the city gets stuck with Rob Richardson, Claudia Alverez and Miguel Pulido.
Somebody needs to step up and turn the page.
duplojohn,
I spoke to a fellow today whose neighbor got beat up by gang bangers. And no one called the cops for fear of retaliation.
This city is going down fast…and Pulido’s priority is installing clay tennis courts for his own personal entertainment.
Shame on Janet and her cronies for supporting Pulido’s sick habits…
Art,
I would love to hear from Thomas as to why he called and asked me to write this story if he was going to complain about it later.
This whole issue was not even on my radar until he called me about it.
For the record I do think this is a “ridiculous” use of public funds and I expressed as much to Councilman Tinajero.
I respectfully disagree with the Mayor about this and will continue to so.
I am not forbidden from expressing my opinion because I serve on a city commission.
“I am not forbidden from expressing my opinion because I serve on a city commission.”
No, but you do take carte blanche liberties in personally attacking other city commissioners and elected officials.
You sir, Sean H. Mill, are a schmuck.
“I am not forbidden from expressing my opinion because I serve on a city commission.”
Mmmm, yeah, but think for a minute about WHERE you’re expressing it.
Saean: “I respectfully disagree with the Mayor about this and will continue to so.”
It is too bad that there is nothing “respectful” about Art Pedroza’s attitude and behavior towards the Mayor of SA.
It’s too bad that there is nothing “respectful” about Sean H. Mill’s attitude and behavior towards other city commissioners and elected officials.
Can someone please tell us who these city commissioners are that Sean H. Mill is allegedly disrespecting?
Chill…
me a Diet Coke!
I have come to the conclusion that the people attacking Sean Mill are Thomas Gordon pawns or Thomas himself.
Why did you delete the second paragraph from SA FALCON?
